The art of the deal

Sharing is caring

What is art? Any creation is an art, what is a deal? Deal is an outcome of dealing. Then what is the art of a deal? The creation of an outcome which is being generated by dealing. Let us consider the art here as a beautiful painting. What are the resources needed to paint a beautiful picture?

  1. Brush
  2. Paints
  3. A Stand to hold a chart
  4. White chart
  5. Peace of mind
  6. Creativity
  7. Visualization.

A great painting will be ready, duration will be based on complexity and visualization. So, the art of the art here is talent and knowledge with resources. Let me tell you something interesting, a beautiful building has been constructed, being a visitor we think in two different directions 1. The architect is great 2. The owner is a rich person.

Consequently, the art of a deal is a talent which cant be taught, it is a creation which cant be injected, it is visualization which can’t be shown. What are the resources to make a deal?

Trust

To me, trust is the feeling of god. It can not be bought, it can not be created, it can not be arranged, it can not be borrowed but it can be established with series of events. Deal making is the shortest project which can be executed. Apparently, trust is very much required to execute a long duration project with a long relationship person, if the project has to be finished in a day or two imagine how much relationship is required? That is trust. I would map trust with white chart for a painting.

Knowledge

Knowledge works as paint. Making a deal is knowing the subject. A person who does not know the subject can not convince the parties involved in the deal. Deal is not just joining the parties, it can be done by a tele caller. Convincing one person itself is a nightmare in today’s world, imagine convincing more people from different parties. It is possible through talking their language. Language is not English or French or Telugu, it is the way of convincing. So, knowledge is important to know your importance.

Balanced mindset

Balanced mindset can be mapped to a stand to hold the chart because if a deal maker fails to balance the parties, his/her knowledge and trustworthiness doesn’t make any sense. The deal is a deal which deals all parties deal. If one person or party is not satisfied with the deal, it is not a deal. Apparently, a meal doesn’t need to satisfy everyone but a deal has to be satisfied because it is business.

Honesty

Honesty can be mapped with brush because without a paint brush white chart and paints are useless. Honesty it is the root cause to build trust. Deal making is on honesty basing. All the parties should trust a person to join the deal and continue until end of the deal. So, honesty is your weapon to shoot the trust as a bullet to keep the people followed. 🙂 🙂

Clarity

Clarity should be mapped with the visualization. To me, clarity is the vision. The deal maker should have a vision to visualize the result of the deal and impact for both the parties down the lane. The base of clarity is balanced mindset, the base of balanced mind is knowledge. Consequently, clarity plays a vital role in making the deal.

Creativity

Of course, creativity is creativity which can be mapped with creativity. It is like water which will change it’s shape based on the item we pour it in. Eventually, the domain may be different, the subject may be different, the usage may be different but creativity and it’s creative feeling is the same. So, we need creativity to make the deals.

Relationship

Relationship can be, and should be mapped with peace of mind. 50% of the deals in the world are being made with relationship under the table 🙂 Relationship brings the trust into the deal, it brings balanced mindset which will do justice for all the parties. Usually, everyone has fear in the mind to cheat or injustice to a known person because of the feeling of how to face him/her tomorrow? how to talk to him/her? how to ask help? Eventually, the relationship works as bonding. A bond is bond which can not be broken until dishonesty interferes. Last but not least, relationships are imperative to make the deals, and crack the deals.

Finally, I believe this is the art of the deal 🙂
