Google vs Microsoft:

Keep experimenting with new opportunities as we can’t predict the market, every company and entrepreneur have had failures no one can be escaped.Innovation/Research/ Experiment, these sounds pretty hazardous to a businessperson as it is tough to have a concrete budget. However, one successful experiment can effort more than 10 failure experiments. Innovation changes the world so I would advise to every entrepreneur don’t be scared to make a calculated risk. Here are some great failures of the big brands.

Microsoft Products:

Microsoft Zune:

Google vs Microsoft

I Believe majority of the people don’t know about Zune. It was the rival of iPod, I was in Seattle and so excited as I am a music lover while the product launch and bought one cute Zune which had additional features of FM radio and 3.5 inches big screen than iPod now it looks like a brick to me 🙂 Ultimately it never keep up compare with iPod in terms of quality and sales. Microsoft stopped supporting the product by 2011 the website redirects to Xbox.

MSN Messenger:

Google vs Microsoft

MSN Messenger was never a great success in the earlier days comparing Yahoo messenger. It is needless to discuss current trend on one to one communication, and there are many products Skype, Whatsapp and Facebook are ruling the world.

Google failures:

Google Hangouts:

Hangouts don’t keep up good with Whatsapp. Whatsapp is ruling the world so ‘Be the first or the best’ Google vs Microsoft
1.You can’t plug-in hangouts to the browser as it won’t work.
2.Video calls don’t support.
3. Hangouts don’t work in the IE from the Windows 8.
4.If you send a picture as a portrait, it turns into the landscape.

Google Plus:

Google plus is a great failure couldn’tGoogle vs Microsoft

compete with Facebook.

1.Lack of unique features.

2.Bundled with too many features.

3.Wanted to be personal information data hub across the world apparently no privacy.

It is needless to say how big Microsoft and Google. They have been failing in many products but the reasons behind every failure come under one of the below categories. We have many other brands with a lot of failures Apple, Samsung, Nokia etc.

  1. Customer need–>Do the customer need this kind of product?
  2. The quality of the product–>The bonding between you and customer.
  3. Market Penetration–>Though you have a right product on hand if you fail to reach the customers, that would be a disaster.
  4. Competition–>Treat competitor as your good critic.
  5. Evolution–>Human mentality would always expect to enjoy new things we will bore very easy so keep evaluate the new things otherwise sustaining in the market is a nightmare. Millions of products getting died from many brands as no evolution.

If the product cares the customer, customer cares you.

Every day we see failures in real life either, how many things are working out as expected? I always want to go to bed at least by 10.30pm but that never works 🙂 so don’t expect every experiment or the business would succeed. Never give up.

The best Example I know:

Many of you know about world class Cars like Mercedes, Audi, BMW, Honda, Toyota, etc. Every 2 to 3 years one new model or new car launches in the market but the number of successful engines is just one or two for each brand, this is the truth. Do you agree with me?

Moral of the story is failures after one big success may not have a significant impact so work hard to see the first success and keep experimenting we never know which would give the success.

Work hard for the first hallow the rest will follow

All the very best, I wish for all of our success 🙂
