Do we really need startups

Sharing is caring

The best way to change a society is to change the people mindset. To change the mindset we need at least one person from each family should be employed so minimum needs would get fulfilled. No government in the world can create the employment for the whole nation, eventually, a lot of private sector jobs should fill the gap.

A number of corporate jobs in India are lesser compared to other nations, but the % of job creation is more than govt jobs. Today’s big companies were the start-ups some time ago. However, India needs a lot of jobs, and that is only possible with start-ups.One person’s salary can make a big difference for the whole family, and that changes the nation. Though the percentage of IT employees is below 5 of the population, the impact on the economy is significant.

15 years ago what was the lifestyle we had? How many malls had we? How many cars were on the roads?

How about the real estate boom? How many international airports we had? What was the average salary of an Indian? It is needless to discuss technology, don’t you think all these because of start-ups, entrepreneurship, the talent pool and the human resource? So imagine how the start-ups have been playing a vital role in the economy of a nation.

For instance, there is a village which is in deep rural side to 500 families. Apparently, it has no basic amenities.

Let’s assume a startup started corporate cultivation in the village.

Investment: 1,00,00,000 INR from an angle investor, take a look at below detailed calculations about the investment in various categories.

startup village

What happened here:

  1. Infrastructure has got created.
  2. Jobs have got created.
  3. The financial status of individuals got increased. Eventually, the lifestyle and mindset got changed.
  4. Rest of the world know about the village eventually, some more investments would be pumped in.

The same would happen for a nation with start-ups. Take a look at below start-ups vs population
